Functional Application Expert - Senior

The Manufacturing Services Means and Methods department supports the execution of global projects through definition, building, testing and implementation of Manufacturing processes and supporting IT applications. We drive and coordinate improvements in IT applications and offers first and second line support for end-users in multiple factories for work preparation & manufacturing execution processes.

Role and responsibilities

• As part of the Agile team where business and IT work closely together on improvement projects, you:
  • Define and document requirements, together with (key) users,
  • Facilitate and support IT during application building and system integration testing
  • Facilitate and support User acceptance testing
  • Define / write / give training for end-users (English).
  • Support embedding and implementation on the workfloor, supporting end-users

• You initiate and coordinate (small) process and IT application improvements
• You act as second line support in case of process / IT application issues
• As a senior application expert for multiple applications, you act as sparring partner in discussions with process owners, business and IT architects, tool/application suppliers and IT service managers.

Education and experience

• 3 - 5 years relevant work experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes.
• Proven experience / functional knowledge of SAP Manufacturing modules (SAP ECC / ME), preferable as a functional analyst/expert.
• Change management experience within production organization
• Knowledge and experience of process improvement methods and Agile way of working
• Education: Master or Bachelor level with multiple years’ experience; Technical / Industrial Engineering / Business Administration / IT

• Analytical, pragmatic and result driven (hands-on mentality)
• Open-minded, strong communication skills both in word and writing, team player, self-starter, take initiative and result oriented.
• Fluent in English in speech and writing.
