Introduction to the job

Together with the Tool Management Agile Team, the Product Owner (PO) ensures to deliver items that create most value for ASML. The product owner works together with the Chief Product Owner (CPO) to understand the program backlog, vision and priorities for the next Program Increment (PI) and refine and prepare the Team Backlog. The Product Owner leads the process of requirement gathering, process design, support IT build, test and input to training for L3 Process Manage Tools by following the agile methodology.

Role and responsibilities

  • End2End accountability of Agile team deliverables;
  • Ensuring the Team Backlog is visible, transparent and clear to all;
  • Understanding the scope of enabler work and collaborate with the System & Business Architect;
  • Informing all stakeholders and align on status;
  • Team up with other PO’s to align on priorities of the Agile Release Train (ART) and Team Backlog;
  • Accepting the user stories as “done” in the Team Backlog, based on Definition of Done;
  • Re-engineer tool processes, as global template, based on standard solutions & best practices;
  • Select best practices most suitable to ASML’s business characteristics and needs;
  • Analyze impact of new concepts for existing ways of working and determine implementation strategies;
  • Facilitate business change aspects like decision making, requirements gathering and feedback, benefits tracking, communication and so on;
  • Support execution of worldwide implementation and roll out plans including testing, key user and end user training, shop floor introduction to ensure a smooth introduction and transition.

Deliverables

  • A prioritized Team Backlog (dev and ops), in line with Program Increment planning and the ART backlog
  • Team specific objectives for upcoming Program Increment
  • Acceptance criteria on work items
  • Definition of done for the Team Backlog

Education and experience

  • Bachelor / Master in Industrial Engineering & Management Science / Technical Business Administration / Business-IT Management.
  • 5-10 years of practical experience
  • Specific knowledge and understanding of production & install planning (control) systems and processes
  • General knowledge and understanding of production (control) systems and processes, including engineering / work preparation, planning & logistics. Preferably in a high-tech, low-volume assembly & test environment
  • Experience with supporting IT systems and their interaction with business processes in manufacturing (SAP, TeamCenter)
  • Preferably experience in system implementation / change management within production organizations and/or eager to learn in this area
  • Experience in agile project management
  • Knowledge of ASML’s tool management processes
