The department Optical Material Handling (OMH) is responsible for streamlining both the incoming and outgoing physical and administrative material flow across the Wilton Factory Optical Fabrication manufacturing areas. The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place within this manufacturing environment. You will report to the team leader (TL) and perform your work in these manufacturing areas. The mission of the OMH is to arrange a flawless material flow within the WF Factory, both administrative and physical.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

Material delivery:

  • Ensures on time material delivery. 
  • Identifies and communicates deviations both in quantity, article nr. (12NC) and scheduled delivery time.
  • Takes necessary correcting actions after identifying deviations.
  • Pick, book factory makes items to order, from inventory.
  • Allocation of parts in transit from work centers. Verify parts were inspected and database has been updated. Contact Planner to confirm parts are ready for release.
  • Assist on moving parts in system such as US21 to US22, creating transport order for shipment across different locations.
  • Requesting Maintenance Orders from Production Planners after ETP from PE is received and parts have been transacted to an appropriate location for the planner. We also prep the material for the floor by ensuring that there are no typos on the ETP, labeling the trays with the proper maintenance order label, etc.

Inventory management:

  • Manage inventory at the work center.
  • Book material from and to inventory.
  • Weekly based inventory count.
  • Provide supports to other teams in Quality control (QC) for supplies such as bubble wrap, pink bubble wrap (coating), pink baggies, labels, etc.
  • Ordering supplies for QC from Material Planners- Requesting needed supplies for QC (A/B Boxes, etc.) from Production Planners.

Troubleshooting:

  • Resolving picking errors, incorrect deliveries, general administrative issue in cooperation with the Warehouse Operation Support, Production Planner, cleaning etc.

Production disturbances:

  • Correct and quick dispatching of materials requested by production as replacement for defect parts or for analysis purposes.

Material return flow:

  • Return parts to the glass stores warehouse.
  • Return rejected production parts.
  • Commit to, and continuously improve the standards by initiating improvements and eliminating waste from the process where possible.
  • Supports good teamwork by searching for solutions and ideas by working together with colleagues, involving them in day-to-day activities and sharing knowledge to improve.

Education and experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience. 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse or material handling.
  • Experience with ERP system is a must Specific SAP experience is an advantage.

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
