The Operational Excellence (OE) Deployment Lead is part of the Wilton Factory (WF) OE Staff and team. WF OE is the game changer for WF and directs the structural improvement roadmap towards Operational Excellence. The structural improvement roadmap is the One Single Agenda for WF with all initiatives, programs and activities connected to realizing the Wilton Factory vision.

The roadmap integrates Quality, Lean, Business Engineering and Business Improvement and is event and deliverable based. WF OE drives WF to create sustainable improvement on the business performance focusing on a full-scale change of organizational culture. WF OE drives business performance impact, organizational maturity, preparing for the future and growing our people, and provides regular business support.

The Operational Excellence Deployment Lead (OEDL) WF Assembly & Optics Fab focuses on the improvement roadmap of the Wilton Factory specifically focusing on the two manufacturing facilities in Wilton, being Assembly & Test, and Optics Fabrication.

The OEDL is part of WF OE Staff and acts as a business partner, challenger and catalyst in changing leadership behaviors. WF has adopted the Lean philosophy and ways of working.

The OEDL reports solid into the Head of WF Operational Excellence and with a dotted line to the Head of Assembly & Test and Optics Fab.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology. 

Role and responsibilities

Drive the transformation towards Operational Excellence of WF Assembly and Optics Fab:

  • Be an ambassador of Operational Excellence, Lean values and practices.

  • Direct the Modules & Optics Improvement roadmap, as a result of strategy and goal deployment. While actively contributing to WF Business priorities.

  • Act as business partner for WF Modules & Optics.

  • Respectfully challenge the status quo and be a catalyst in changing (leadership) behaviors.

  • Build capabilities by coaching and developing line organization.

  • Work closely together with OE competences Safety, Quality, Business Improvements, Business Engineering and Lean.

Grow the WF OE team, as part of WF OE Staff:

  • Be an ambassador of and actively deploy our WF OE vision and mission.

  • Actively support the development of the WF OE organization.

  • Drive OE teams' skills and competencies development.

  • Manage stakeholders and relations, to ensure well established relationships to key stakeholders, drive satisfaction and be a trusted partner.

Ensure cross-(sub-)sector alignment on knowledge, Best Known Methods, standards and learnings across Wilton Factory and ASML:

  • Actively drive sharing and leveraging knowledge, Best Known Methods, standards and learnings across WF OE competences.

  • Actively drive synergies between different OE competencies.

  • Team up with OE related competencies inside & outside WF, including Competence Centers.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years' experience in Manufacturing environments (high and low volume).

  • Possess expert knowledge of continuous improvement/ Operational Excellence/ Lean, Safety and Quality.

  • Leadership experience within international/complex matrix organizations.

  • Experience in Program and Project Management.

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written in addition to local language.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S
