Job Mission
The Product System Engineer Digital Platform – Data Pipeline is expected to give direction to the technical development of the Data Pipeline that connects our Digital Platform instances with the customer ecosystem, our equipment fleet at customers, and 3rd parties. The Data Pipeline is a key capability of our Common Digital Platform, facilitating (structural) data flow for our equipment and litho optimization services. The Data Pipeline is also key in implementing the Data Policy as agreed between ASML, customers and 3rd parties.
Job Description
Be part of the Digital Platform product team, together with Product (Marketing) Manager and the Product Development Manager.
Give direction to the technical development of the Digital Platform - Data Pipeline.
Ensure System Engineering deliverables are timely met with high quality.
Agree with marketing and x-BL stakeholders the use cases and applications/tenants that are supported by the Data Pipeline; define the required platform performance and define the relevant platform specifications for all business drivers to achieve that performance. Capture the outcome in the System Performance Specifications (SPS).
Define the global platform system configuration based on the Common Digital Platform architecture that will deliver the SPS and define decomposition in various sub systems and their interfacing specifications as well as budgets per business driver balancing consistency and overall design integrity. Capture the outcome in the System Design Specification (SDS).
Support system integration to validate that the system concept and architecture are met by providing integration logic, setting priorities, managing interdependencies and troubleshoot in case of issues.
Verify the System Performance Specifications are met after System Integration on the basis of the Test Performance Specification (TPS) and Test Assessment Report (TAR) (Alpha Test).
Verify if product is ready in terms of performance, manufacturability & serviceability (Maturity TAR) and support any escalated structural technical issues that cannot be resolved by engineering colleagues in the field (4th line issues).
Actively contribute to positive team dynamics;
Coach and guide (junior) colleagues.
Influence stakeholders on (multiple/single) product team level (under guidance)
Education
Academic level (Master or PhD) in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or other technical areas with proven working experience in a complex technical environment.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of ASML experience, focused on development of products; preferably, experience with software development, equipment diagnostics, analytics.
Good understanding of the customer manufacturing automation and their needs towards ASML equipment products and services.
Experience with data engineering, data science and/or SW architecture is a strong pre.

Context of the position
This position is available within the SE APP Metrology & Data group in the System Engineering department. The System Engineering department is responsible for the integral specification and design of ASML’s products. Also it supports the implementation process to ensure that it is brought to a successful conclusion. The team members of the department define the architecture for the system and the decomposition into functions and subsystems. They manage the consistency and trade-off of requirements and design solutions at system level and specify the resulting performance and functional requirements of the subsystems.
The SE APP Metrology & Data group is focused on the development of YieldStar metrology systems and their applications as well as the Digital Platform that supports ASML data analytics applications related to equipment and process control.
