Role and responsibilities

Job Mission

Each person within EUV factory (EF) must be able to do his/her work in a safe working environment. To achieve this, the EF EHS team translates safety regulations and ASML policies to a workable and safe working environment for the EUV factory. The EF EHS team consists of members that all are equipped with specific Safety specializations like for instance Laser safety, electrical safety and dangerous gases. The EF EHS Team supports in ways of: ensuring compliancy to safety regulations, improving safety on the working place by means of safety inspections and coaching/explaining, monitoring and reporting safety improvement measures and learnings from incidents. As member of this safety expert group, you also help drives projects on safety related topics: Within the EUV factory and aligning with other sectors and other factories globally.

Job Description

The EF EHS team is responsible for a broad work package: consisting of many safety related services such as SRA/FMEA  participation, judging risk of tasks and signing of work permits, finding root-causes of incidents or accidents, creating toolboxes and contributing to trainings. The EHS team has strong ties with the global EHS organization. All activities are all aiming to improve the safety culture, increase safety awareness and take measures to continuously support and advise the factory to reach the next level of safety.

The safety expert has the right skills and experience levels to identify and close gaps in the competence between factory and other safety experts.  The safety expert aligns with the other members within Quality & EHS group (QEHS) on knowledge exchange, closing of issues and improvement initiatives. The safety expert contributes to the creating of a competence, a department roadmap and supports their activities.

Education and experience

Bachelor (HBO) degree in Engineering, Safety or level with 5 years of relevant working experience.
Preferably educated on Safety.
Dutch and English skilled both verbally and in writing.

Proven industrial experience in multi-disciplinary (safety) projects.

Familiar with Environment, Health and Safety, or ASML engineering.

Skills

Able to create an atmosphere of cooperation and trust.

Has good communicational skills (verbal and written) in English (and Dutch is a pre)

Able to get people ‘on board’ (influencing without formal power/negotiating skills),

Quality focus

Highly committed and flexible (sometimes working outside office hours, changing requirements and boundary conditions).

Robust personality is a must.

Able to organize, offer structure and manage a broad set of stakeholders

The holder of the position reports to the group leader of EF EHS department.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
