For ASML data is an asset which has a lot of business value which we need to protect and properly manage. By carefully managing our data assets (quality, definitions, owners, change control) ASML is realizing a trusted data foundation build on a federated data catalog architecture across all digital platforms and using the data mesh concept.
Context of the position
The mission of the data governance group within D&E DATA is to define and drive a collection of practices and processes which help to ensure the formal management of data assets for ASML machine data on our digital platforms, as well as enabling the implementation of the data policy. This includes defining required roles, applications, processes and governance structures. In this role you will closely collaborate with the team that is defining the longer term digital strategy roadmap.
Job Mission
As SW architect Trusted Data Foundation you are responsible to define and drive the architecture for the ASML trusted data foundation across our digital platforms. You will be the co-architect of the (federated) data catalog architecture and implementation of data mesh. You will also be the competence lead of the knowledge engineering subcompetence (as part of the Product Data Governance competence (TC-0166)). Using your expertise on data modelling and knowledge graphs you will be contributing to diagnostics research projects. To achieve this you will involve the right expertise from other architects and data experts, engage and motivate people.
Job Description
Define and drive Data (Mesh) Architecture for ASML Trusted Data Foundation, including definition of (federated) data catalog architecture
Follow technology trends and ensure ASML roadmaps are updated to incorporate state-of-the-art techniques for data value generation.
Responsible for identifying and developing new technology competence (owner subcompetence knowledge engineering)
ASML representative in the SEMI standards organization (which is aiming to standardize data across the semiconductor industry)
Contribute to overall ASML Digital Platform architecture
Education
Master degree in field of Technology, IT or Business
Data management architecture and process experience and knowledge
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in high-tech environment (or comparable complex R&D environment) in the field of data architecture, data definitions and data platforms
Experience as architect in data related topics is a must
Knowledge of recent data governance trends like e.g. data mesh and federated data catalog architectures
Affinity with software coding, software solutions, standards and guidelines, familiar with software development process and the various stages in software development
Experience with data modelling, knowledge engineering, ontology concepts
Understanding the basics of data security and data protection
Basic understanding on data lineage and data pipelines
Familiar with agile way of working
Preferably knowledge of Collibra Data Governance Center (or comparable)
Preferably knowledge of Polarion and ability to use Polarion
Preferably knowledge on XML and XSD
Knowledge of enterprise architect is a pre
