Senior Sourcing and Supply Chain TL 1 will be responsible for strategic leadership for the Wilton shipping team for ASML. This includes the leadership and management of a team running two shifts (day and evening), operating 6 days a week. The Sr Team lead will be responsible for setting schedules and ensuring coverage, motivating, coaching and guiding a team of our team leads and material handlers and proactively managing our teams through a strategic approach to ensure throughput, and maturity/development of a team to meet our future needs and growth.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

  • Scheduling shipping activities- ensuring coverage of two shifts day/night, and adequate support to cover packaging, processing and physical loading/shipping of our modules and parts.

  • Developing and mentoring 2 team leads across first and second shift as direct reports- and underlying material handling teams to develop skills, business acumen and leadership maturity.

  • Oversite on weekend coverage- Participating in Saturday factory touch base and alignment with weekend team.

  • Drive companywide continuous improvement initiatives- Balancing tactical management to handle the challenges of imminent needs, and larger strategic decisions with leadership to meet the needs of a fast growing company.

  • Coordinating operations between our offsite 3pl warehouse and our factory shipping team.

  • active internal customer alignment while driving strategic direction of department for long term effectiveness.

  • Continuously assess department process for improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and control of deliverables pertaining to the shipping department and all indirect processes affecting shipping team.

  • complete regular personnel assessments for team of >10 persons.

  • Alignment with 3pl Freight forwarders.

  • Management and prioritization of shipping personnel activities.

  • Ensure coverage of durable packaging materials and manage workflow with outside supplier/crating company.

  • Participate in area Job Hazard Analysis with occupational safety team.

  • Routine meetings with subordinates and management to align organization priorities.

  • Scheduling and support of two in house drivers & administration of their equipment.

  • Collaborating with facility management on physical improvements and construction.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and make recommendations.

  • Required to operate company equipment such as hand truck, hoists, trolley’s, fork truck.

Education and experience

  • High School Diploma- bachelor's preferred- Major in logistics, Business admin, communications, supply chain or equivalent experience.   

  • General computer proficiencies.

  • SAP- Extended Warehouse management a must.

  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word a plus.

  • Experience integrating new computer-based tools and strategies in alignment with business objectives.

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Can work under deadlines.
