As a Wave Planner, you will deliver load level-, wave planning- & planning support to optimize the efficiency in the logistical process by monitoring and balancing the workload within the warehouse & logistics department.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Monitor the influx of outbound deliveries for the 5L Warehouse.
  • Identify and analyze work load peaks.
  • Ad-hoc steering on workload peaks- advising on capacity re-scheduling
  • Adjust the timing of deliveries in such a way that the work load is leveled on an hourly base
  • Adjust the timing of deliveries based with respect to delivery priority.
  • Monitor if deliveries are created according to the ‘delivery creation rules’
  • Contact the internal customer (PP, CRL, MH) and/or the 3PL in case alignment is needed for load leveling.
  • Monitor and steer the ‘stock to factory’ process by managing the EWM Waves
  • Process delivery- and/or delivery line cancellation requests
  • Monitor and follow-up on exception codes and alerts generated by EWM
  • Provides first line operational support on planning processes, executing resolution of operational issues, in order to minimize impact on the operation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities or projects with planning and operational expertise. Points out recurring problems and participates to their solution.
  • Contact person Warehouse process for Operational Support.
  • Analyzing trends and driving improvements for workload levelling
  • Weekly report performance and volume measurements.

Education and experience

Starter (or someone with a couple of years of experience) with a bachelor degree or higher in the field of logistics, warehousing or a technical environment.

  • Is analytical, structured and curious, continues with present information.
  • Is service minded, good communicator on different levels, team player.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team within a high tech environment
  • Excellent SAP knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and weekends, work overtime when needed.
  • Deals with stress effectively and has an independent and accurate attitude.
  • Pro-active; open to change.
