Our Corporate Real Estate (CRE)department for the Netherlands is responsible for all CRE activities/responsibilities for the Netherlands portfolio and ensure alignment with CRE strategy, business continuity and operational excellence in accordance with CRE’s foundational elements.
The purpose of the Floor Designer is to improve and optimize existing workplaces by designing and delivering workplace solutions that support the needs of the business. The Floor Designer is responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior designs for the floors of ASML’s buildings in the Netherlands. This involves collaborating with stakeholders, such as architects, project managers, and facility managers, to determine the needs and goals of the organization.
Role and responsibilities
The role of Floor Designer entails the following key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating layout plans, selecting materials, and determining color schemes and furniture arrangements to optimize the space and promote productivity aligned with the Workplace Experience Book by Global Design Leads.
Ensure that the design complies with building codes and safety regulations.
Working closely with the Projects team within CRE NL to ensure that the plans are executed accurately.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that their designs are innovative and competitive.
Upon request advisory role to local teams regarding floor design and intermediate for new workstyles and activities.
Responsible to design and deliver the best-fit workplace solution in compliance with the (specific) needs of the client (the business) and the workplace experience book.
Responsible to collect and analyze workstyles/-activities to define the space and functional needs of the business and translate into designs, using the workplace experience book and instruments in the toolbox for workplace management.
Create the User Requirements Specifications (URS) that are part of the definition and design phase to define all relevant specifications.
Organize and facilitate workshops to derive specifications.Cooperate with Business Partner and Project Manager to incorporate all required perspectives and to consider special circumstances and constraints for example specific construction/building conditions etc.
Education and experience
Bachelor or Master degree in Facility Management or similar.
At least 5+ years of similar experience in housing space management, scenario-, and demand management.
