Introduction to the job

CS EHS Expert

The Customer Support (CS) Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) department supports the safety of the CS engineers in the field. We do this by making sure the design of the platforms is safe, the tools that are being used are safe and by making sure safety is well embedded in the procedures of the engineers. Next to this, we make sure the engineers have performed all the necessary safety training and that this safety training is of good quality. Last but not least, we increase the safety behavior of the engineers.

As EHS Expert you are responsible for managing the safety competence you are assigned to. The competence of this vacancy is electrical safety and LOTO. For all the elements mentioned above, you are responsible for the correct implementation with respect to electrical safety and LOTO.   

For this you interact with the CS Competence Engineering departments, the regional CS EHS Teams and the Design and Engineering (D&E) department. Next to this you will make sure the safety requirements for servicing of new platforms are well embedded and you align with D&E and Factory safety competences to set harmonized standards. Scope is CS Worldwide operations at the customer facilities.

Role and responsibilities

As CS EHS Expert you will support a wide range of occupational safety topics, including:

  • Strengthening the service mix (parts, tools, procedures, training).

  • Identify and prioritize improvements needed for safety in the field.

  • Drive the improvements through the ASML improvement process.

  • Do occupational safety reviews for specific maintenance actions and repairs.

  • Safety review of new and existing procedures. In order to make sure that the procedures are safe to use in the field and cover all safety aspects according to the CS safety requirements.

  • You are the competence owner for electrical safety and LOTO. Which means you are ‘the one to go to’ for questions by CS or D&E and you maintain the CS requirements and training for electrical safety and LOTO.  

  • Drives results to ensure EHS improvements at CS.

  • Optimizes work processes on EHS at CS.

Education and experience

  • Must: Bachelor/Master Degree Electrical (Engineering)

  • Min. 5 years' experience in electrical (engineering) and/or safety.

  • Profound knowledge of LOTO processes

  • Experience in safety or willing to learn about safety (eg. HVK)

Context of the position

This role reports to the CS EHS EUV WW Manager, Which reports to the CS EHS WW Manager. The CS EHS WW Manager reports directly to the CS Executive. 

Other information

Travel will be 10% of the time (1 week a half year)
