This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and Responsibilities

Develops and implements strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.

Safety Roadmap Management: Lead the development and execution of our company's safety roadmap, aligning strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

ISO 45001 Certification: Take the reins in preparing for and achieving ISO 45001 certification by 2025, ensuring adherence to international standards for occupational health and safety.

Safety Culture Advancement: Drive initiatives to foster a proactive safety culture, engaging employees at all levels to prioritize safety, identify hazards, and champion best practices.

Training Leadership: Oversee the design and implementation of comprehensive safety training programs, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain a safe work environment.

Supervision of EHS Specialists: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of EHS specialists, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to the site's overall safety mission.

Environmental & Occupational Health: Collaborate with multiple sectors to manage environmental, occupational health, and safety aspects related to our EUV and DUV business lines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various stakeholders to ensure safety measures extend beyond the workplace, safeguarding our colleagues on and off campus. Improve EHS workplace performance by promoting an incident-free workplace, identifying and mitigating EHS risk and implementing safety and environmental management systems in accordance with regulations, corporate compliance policies and standards.

Communicates all findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to effect timely and necessary corrections.

EHS Specialist duties as required.

Education and Experience

Strong competence with the various tools, procedures used to accomplish the job. Require a minimum of nine (9) years of related EHS experience. 

Knowledge/experience with working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in environmental, Health and Safety or related field - required.

Demonstrate knowledge of 29 CFR 1910, Title 8 Cal/Osha General Industry and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is required.

Expertise in ISO Standards (ISO 14001and ISO 45001) preferred.

Certifications and/or Licenses

Certified Project Manager, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) – preferred, but not required.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to conduct trainings/presentations to large audiences.

Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.

Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.

Ability to use internal Web pages, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic e-mail systems.

In depth knowledge of EHS regulations and regulatory requirements.

Uses strong project management skills in facilitating projects/activities.

Ability to effectively work with safety databases and perform data entry.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $114,000-$190,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
