The Applied Manufacturing Technologies group at Test & Measurement Facilities (TMF) is an exciting and innovative department that focuses on early design phase verification and pushing the boundaries of existing technologies. Your Assignment
As an intern in the Applied Manufacturing Technologies group at TMF, you will embark on a hands-on assignment aligned with the objectives of the ongoing projects tailored to your expertise and interests.
A former student, for instance, contributed to the development of a Self-Balancing Cube, known as Cubli. This project encompassed distinct phases, including Conceptualization, Mechanical and Software Engineering, Hardware Integration, and Feasibility Testing.
Throughout your project engagement, you will:
- Collaborate with in a team of experienced professionals to outline a strategic plan of approach for your assigned project. Set clear goals and objectives that will guide your journey towards successful project outcome.
Research and Self-Study:
- Dive into relevant literature and existing technologies to gather valuable insights. Deepen your understanding of the technologies and concepts related to your project.
Hardware Study and Programming:
- Immerse yourself in the study of hardware components and systems pertinent to your project. Gain hands-on experience with hardware interfaces and programming to build foundational skills.
Testing and Assembling:
- Design and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and gather essential data. Assemble prototypes applying your practical skills to bring concepts to life.
Reporting and Presenting:
- Create comprehensive reports that document your findings, methodologies, and results. Prepare dynamic presentations to effectively communicate your progress, achievements, and insights to the team.
Your Profile
To be the perfect match for this internship you:
- Are a student in Mechatronics, Electrical-, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
- Have a hands-on mentality;
- Have an interest in technology and are a team player.
Please provide a motivation letter with your application. This is a Bachelor, MBO, or Master graduation or apprentice internship. The duration is 5 or more months, with a flexible starting date.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship.
