Background information

ASML’s Legal & Compliance department aims to be a world-class legal and compliance team that enables ASML's long-term success through forward thinking and smart collaboration. The department is a proactive strategic business partner that operates as one global integrated team, promotes a culture of ethics and compliance, and protects and defends ASML's assets and interests. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and monitoring ASML’s Legal & Compliance areas on a day-to-day basis (e.g., competition & regulatory; ethics; export controls; privacy; litigation; corporate).

  • Cooperating with ASML regional legal counsel worldwide, the ASML Ethics Office, and any relevant business stakeholders when managing, monitoring, and coordinating compliance programs.

  • Raising awareness and driving compliance with the ASML Code of Conduct and its related compliance programs.

Your assignment

The Legal & Compliance team is looking for an intern (non-thesis) to support its Competition & Regulatory team. This includes:

  • Monitoring and mapping global regulatory requirements;

  • Raising awareness on a variety of competition and regulatory topics (e.g., assist with developing trainings, compliance toolkits, and communication materials); and

  • Assisting the team with legal research and ad-hoc projects.

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

  • Are a master student in Law, with a strong focus on Competition Law;

  • Demonstrate a great interest in Competition and Regulatory topics;

  • Are a quick learner, with a pro-active attitude;

  • Possess great communication skills in English.

This is a master apprentice internship for minimum 6 months, 2 - 3 days per week. The start date of this internship is as of end of October 2023.

Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
