Introduction
The IT division of ASML supports information management, infrastructure and automation and optimization of key business processes across ASML. Currently the ASML IT department is in an Agile Transformation, in which SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework 5.0) will be implemented.
As Scrum Master Infra you are a servant leader, who train your team(s) on Scrum practices, facilitate Scrum events and continuously stimulate your team(s) to improve to highly autonomous yet highly aligned team(s).
You will be coaching your team(s) to reach new heights with regards to predictability, quality and collaboration within the team, but also within the ART. Together with the Release Train Engineer, your ambition is to implement and coach in the Agile transformation.
Job Description
As a Scrum Master you are accountable for ensuring the Scrum framework is implemented effectively and the team is successful in its usage of Scrum. This means that you have to mentor, coach and guide your team(s) to become mature, effective and self-organized. You will be the pillar that foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging effective communication and teamwork. Of course you also know how to celebrate the successes of my team, and courageously show progress, impediments and improvements actions that are taken.
Furthermore you are of course also part of:
Chairing and driving the rituals (Scrum, sprint and program increment), ensuring its disciplined execution, and helping the team to understand why this is important
Ensuring the team members know how to monitor and track their progress toward Sprint Goals providing transparency to whoever requires it
Facilitating the team into following the technical way of working and ensures quality related to own discipline is secured in the team
Ensuring the pre-conditions are in place to start a work item (Definition of Ready) and work item is delivered as per commitments (Definition of Done)
Deliverables
Transparency on team performance (metrics)
Transparency on dependency and risk status
Ensure the tooling is up-to-date (Jira, Jira Align, SNOW)
Timely delivery of the committed work items from the team's backlog
Report the status of the team’s Program Increment (PI) objectives
Impediment identification, resolution and escalation

The RTE for the Infra Agile Release Train (ART)
The Product Owner for the team(s) you support and coach, and the Product Owners in Infra
The Developers in your Agile team(s)
Other Scrum Masters in the ART
The CPO (Chief Product Owner) and System Architect
The Agile Competence Center in ASML and other stakeholders outside the ART for Infra
Education and experience
Practical Agile experience in complex organizations with distributed scrum teams as a scrum master and/or agile coach
Scrum.org (PSM1/PSM2) and/or SAFe® certifications
Experience in IT environments of corporate organizations
You are in possession of a valid work permit for The Netherlands
Master or Bachelor degree
Personal skills
You should have / are:
Excellent English communication (written as verbal) and presentation skills
High levels of motivation, with a strong work ethic and able to work effectively under minimal supervision
The urge to learn; you are constantly seeking new knowledge and skills to improve your effectiveness
Team builder and facilitator, removing roadblocks and know everything about scrum
Build trust in team, coaches team members to act as a team and foster continuous improvement culture
Able to provide support and guidance in a way that is respectful and encouraging to everyone involved
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
