Role and responsibilities
- Responsiblefor Japan operations to ensure timely execution and local compliance(payroll, tax, social security etc.)
- Responsiblefor the payroll process of local employees and impatriate/expatriateemployees, including collection of BIK items and home part compensation
- SupportMyNumber and statutory document (dependent exemption etc.) collection fromemployees
- Supporthealth insurance dependent registration with Japan local bureaus
- ProvideDC pension reconciliation and support execution via DC Pension system
- Supportexecution of Japan annual statutory adjustments/filings/payment (socialinsurances, labor insurance, resident tax, year end tax adjustment, finaltax return etc.), including preparing LTI share related reports
- Providepayment/bank reconciliation for monthly payroll, Kempo subsidy, and allstatutory filings (social insurances, labor insurance, resident tax etc.)
- ProvideGL reconciliation and communicate with finance teams for open itemclearing
- PrepareJapan employee related cash forecast and budget
- SupportJapan employee communication on payroll related matters
- SupportJapan internal and external payroll audits
- Delivertechnical research and analysis on Japan wage and tax policy/regulations
- Supportprojects to improve the efficiency, control, and business analysiscapabilities of the payroll department under Workday implementation
- Responsiblefor the execution of designated SOX and internal controls in Japan
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Preferredrelevant work experience in Japan payroll operation
- Collaborationexperience with cross-regional counterparts preferred
