ASML's Legal & Compliance Department is responsible for defining and implementing ASML’s worldwide legal and compliance strategy and bears the responsibility for all ASML entities worldwide to comply with international laws and regulations, in order to minimize legal risks and to maximize legal and commercial opportunities. The Legal & Compliance Department consists of a team of highly empowered, business oriented lawyers, compliance officers, privacy professionals, paralegals and assistants, working across the globe and based in Europe, US and Asia.
ASML’s Legal & Compliance Department is organized in the Legal Business and Centers of Excellence group, the Corporate group, the Compliance group, the Privacy Office and Regional groups in Asia and the U.S. We are looking for a legal counsel to strengthen the Contracting Center of Excellence, which is part of the Legal Business and Centers of Excellence group.
Role and responsibilities
As part of the Contracting Center of Excellence (CoE) you will be involved in Contracting in the broadest sense, drafting and negotiating contracts for ASML’s worldwide organization. These may include contracts in the areas of Procurement, Sales as well as R&D. The role involves working with colleagues all over the world, from factory floor to (executive) management. You will have act as a true business partner, and will have regular contacts with ASML’s business stakeholders, as well as external suppliers and customers, among which the world’s largest and most innovative technology companies. You will also be involved in executing the Contracting CoE’s global responsibility for improvement of quality, processes and standardization in the field of contracting. This role may require you to travel to the U.S. and Asia.
The Legal Counsel will be based in Veldhoven (NL) and will report to the Head of Contracting.
Education and experience
- Masters in Law
- 3 - 7 years relevant experience as a lawyer in an international business environment, either as in-house legal counsel or within a law firm;

- Highly motivated and pro-active professional;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate as a strong team player;
- Your English needs to be outstanding both orally as well as in writing
