Introduction to the job

Exciting role for academics with at least five years of work experience and an interest in high tech and supply chain. ASML is looking for an ambitious talent who can play a crucial role in the supply chain processes related to the implementation of new or improved materials within field logistics.
The Customer Supply Chain Management (CSCM) team is responsible for meeting service level agreements (SLAs) with customers. System downtime costs customers up to a million USD per day so SLAs are extremely tight, with downtime waiting for parts and tools limited to as little as 20 minutes per system per week. CSCM manages such challenges in a global network with thousands of unique spare parts and delivers true customer satisfaction through differentiated and affordable supply chain services. ASML’s aggressive time-to-market strategy and increasing system functionality means machines are often upgraded at the customer during their lifetime. CSCM’s highly educated workforce drives planning and execution of the supply chain aspects of commercial upgrades, field change orders, machine shipments and transfers.

Role and responsibilities

The Customer Supply Chain has a very challengeable mission and vision to reach 80% predictability, 90% no touch order processing and being 100% circular. Taking also into account that the complexity within the supply chain is increasing due to the introduction of automation, robotization and the immaturity of our new products there is an urgent need for a support organization that owns, maintains and improves the CSCM core processes.

The support organization, Business Process Engineering (BPE), is currently being setup and includes Business Process Owners, Process Analysts and Process Specialists. The Business Process Owners role can be described as:

  • The owner of the E2E process. Understands the process’s SIPOC, next level process dependencies and therefore, are also accountable for the process related business rules.
  • The owner of the performance dashboards per process, notice disturbances and setting targets for the to-be performance levels
  • Model the current processes, decides what to improve and drive the improvement roadmap for your process
  • Maintaining the process descriptions, instructions and flows - working together with the key users to keep the knowledge level at an acceptable level.
  • As a manager within the Business Process Engineering team you’ll manage the team of process owners(CSCM core processes:
  • Supply, Forward-, Reverse, Hub Operations, NPI Processes, Time Based Demand), hold the integral improvement roadmap and performance overview.

The BPE team is newly being setup, for that reason you’ll be working on the fundament of the Business Process Ownership framework, roles and responsibilities and the adoption within the organization firstly, gradually building the team and secure a mature and sustainable organization.

Education and experience

Relevant Bachelor or Master degree is a must

  • >5 years of relevant experience in a large international company
  • Knowledge of business complexity, supply chain and/or relevant industry
  • Project- and change management
