Introduction – Job Mission

The metrology engineering Intern shall assist with the development of next-generation optical and metrology sub-systems for the creation and control of EUV radiation and supports the design & integration of innovative core technology elements and/or system concepts into engineering solutions.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

Requirement is to perform a variety of engineering tasks that will be tailored to match the education/experience level of the intern. May include:

·Develop, test, qualify, and implement a metrology subsystem concept in a lab environment

·Develops new optical sensing solution concepts to issues that impact design/manufacturing successes or to address future products or technologies

·Quantify metrology characteristics of existing modules via data collection analysis

Education and Experience

·Currently pursuing a degree in Optics, Engineering, or Physics

·Familiarity with 1 of the following: imaging systems, laser systems, image/signal processing

·Possess strong ownership characteristics and commitment to achieving results on time

·Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.

·Strong written and oral communication skills

·Strong problem solving sills and the ability to take initiative

·Be willing to be “wrong” at times and be open to the ideas of others

The California base annual salary / hourly range for this role is currently $25 - $45. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
