Introduction to the job

People Services US provides HR operational services to all employees in US and is employees’ first contact point on all HR, payroll, and benefits related questions. This position is part of People Services US to lead and coordinate process improvement initiatives to drive best possible employee user experiences. We are looking for an Operational Excellence (OE) expert to create strategic approaches to provide solutions on operational problems involving people, processes, and systems in a sustainable, proactive, and effective way. This position helps drive the culture of operational excellence and provides support in achieving the operational productivity targets and identifying best practice opportunities while increasing team capability and efficiency.

Role and responsibilities

The key responsibility of this role include but is not limited to:

Project Coordination on Global Projects:
• Champions a project management discipline, providing expertise and support on the intake, initiation, planning, alignment, execution, transition and closure of global projects.
• Assists project owners in planning project timelines, milestones, deliverables, using management methods and software tools.
• Takes part in Key User meeting representing US stakeholders. Alignment with US stakeholders to bring decisions to a global level.

Project Management on US Projects:
• Creates and leads a project plan to turn the current state map into the future state map.
• Leads project progress meetings and communications for projects owned by this position. This includes but is not limited to Work Instructions, Knowledge Article Management, and HRizon related support.
• Completes post-project completions reviews to ensure successful deliverables and measures of success have been achieved.
• Collaboration and alignment with stakeholder groups on changes impactful to People Services including implementations or changes resulting in an increase in questions or tickets to People Services.

Process Improvement Management:
• Builds and maintains the foundation for continuous improvements by ensuring the effective functioning of continuous improvement events. This includes but is not limited to marketing initiatives of People Services and the People Portal and successful metrics in accordance with the Tier structure.
• Assists PS team leads in data analysis to support decision-making and the development of improved methods, processes, and systems. This includes but is not limited to use of reporting within Power BI, ServiceNow, and Workday.
• Takes ownership of operational projects which require cross-divisional process changes.
• Identifies and justifies projects for reducing costs, improving quality and increasing production as part of establishing a continuous improvement environment.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience. Minimum requirement of 3 years of relevant experience.
