After one of ASML’s extreme ultraviolet (EUV) or deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography systems is shipped to a customer, the real magic begins for our people working in Customer Support. Thousands of dedicated engineers across the globe support our clients on and off-site 24/7 – and Central Services is essential to making this happen, helping deliver great service through a range of crucial support roles.


As a Project Management Professional, you work in smart and innovative ways, and with a firm handle on today’s and future needs. You collaborate with many colleagues in ASML, mentoring and guiding to ensure projects run smoothly, with key decisions and milestones met in time.

Role and responsibilities

Depending on your specialization and years of experience, we offer several Project Manager roles within the Customer Support department. When applying, please tell us your preferred area of specialization in your motivation letter.

  • Program Manager or Chief Product Owner

As Program Manager or Chief Product Owner you are responsible for the realization of strategic business improvements for an assigned capability. This typically requires you to work in a multi-year program, working with several other sectors in the company and impacting over 60 sites globally. You organize the program governance, you define the program roadmap and initiate the workstreams that design, deliver and implement the required deliverables to ensure business value.

To be successful in these roles, you need a broad skillset:

  • Business leadership: you shape and drive the improvements needed to realize the strategic benefits for your program, in close collaboration with the business owner and sponsor group

  • Stakeholder management: you align and address a broad range of interests from various stakeholders within sectors and regions

  • Organization: you structure, plan and manage a layered project organization

  • People management: you steer, motivate and coach your teams

  • Collaboration: you work closely with central and local business management and other disciplines

  • Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you shape the future way of working for Customer Support by leading a cross-functional team assembled from different expert groups in ASML. By applying a structured project approach and with your passion for finding solutions, you influence your colleagues to achieve milestones and overcome hidden bottlenecks. Growing as a Project Manager means you will tackle even more complex and strategic business problems.

  • Product Owner

As a Product Owner, you maximize product value by intimately working with your business customers. You are part of an Agile Scrum team, for which you prioritize product functionalities that the team has to develop.At ASML Customer Support this not only means software development, but also facilitating process design and flawless integration of your product into the Ways of Working of regional teams.

  • Portfolio Manager

As Portfolio Manager you focus on multiple projects and programs within different sectors, helping them shape their deliverables and their way of working. You drive the portfolio priority setting and the achievement of the priorities. You develop strategies and ways to translate these into practice, with the goal to maximize business value

As Program/Portfolio Manager, you ensure that projects are led and resourced appropriately and run on time, in budget and scope.

  • Portfolio/Program Management Officer (PMO)

As a PMO you play a vital role in helping ASML refine its project, program and portfolio management. You have a profound impact on portfolio execution in your role as reliable business partner for our Portfolio and Program managers. Your core responsibility is to help the organization focus on value creation and align projects effectively with ASML’s strategy, maintaining a clear focus on the outcomes that matter. You are good with people and processes and can align and integrate solutions within a complex environment.

  • Global Business Implementation and Change Manager

In this role, you drive the deployment and implementation of work process changes in the Customer Support (CS) organization at ASML’s customer sites (around 65 worldwide). The end goal is for the business to adopt the process change in a sustainable way.

You do this by steering the implementation and adoption process, supporting the local service organizations to implement the change into the day-to-day activities of our engineers. Your power of persuasion and ability to connect with various organization levels and departments are needed to help people to change their ways of working smoothly and effectively.

Who are you?

As our new Project Management colleague, you have the following experiences and skills:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, engineering or comparable qualification

  • Proven experience in a Project Management role

  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or service organization

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

  • Experienced with stakeholder management, preferably in a multi-cultural environment

  • Hands-on mentality

  • Ability to influence without power

  • Proven record of successfully leading and embedding transformation projects

  • Experience with Agile, Project Management and/or LEAN methodologies (certification is a plus)
