Introduction to the job

As a Product Owner you are bridging the gap between the customers who have a long list of wishes, and the team who has to deliver successful products in increments. You will work closely together with the team, where you decide on priority of items on the backlog trying to maximize the added value to our customers. To help the team understanding your decisions, it is important to form and convey your goals and vision every sprint, keeping both customers and team happy. We work in iterations of 2 weeks and once every quarter we have a Program Increment planning where you are responsible to align, refine and prioritize the team backlog for the upcoming Program Increment.

You work together with dedicated scrum masters, other Po’s and CPO, Release Train Engineer(s), and process experts.

Role and responsibilities

  • Collaboratewith our business teams around the world to understand, define, refine ,and prioritize our backlog.
  • Act as liaison between business representatives andITanalysts and developers.
  • Ensuring the Team Backlog is visible, transparent andclear to all. Use Jira and Jira Align to organize work into Epics ,Features, and Stories.
  • Setup and lead the Agile ceremonies, in alignment withthe scrum master.
  • Maintain and prioritize backlog across multiplebusiness owners.
  • Report on sprint status.
  • Bring attention to impediments to progress
  • Apply Agile methodology principles as appropriate forthe environment.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience as product owner (preferably using SAFe).
