Role and responsibilities
The research department is looking for a project leader to lead work on the next generation modules for our EUV scanner platform. Together with a multi-disciplinary team you will work on the analyzing, designing, and testing innovative thermal solutions to enable overlay and imaging performance for the next-generation ASML EUV scanners. You will be closely engaging with stakeholders in the Development and Engineering and System Engineering departments to ensure the teams’ solution directions are conceptually feasible to implement in ASML’s products.
Education and experience
Technical University Master or PhD in Mechanical Engineering
- 4 years or more of experience in the machine building industry (preferably semiconductor related)
- Experience with leadership on work package level
- Project leadership experience in a team of minimum 5 FTE
- Experience with thermo-mechanical systems
- Experience with designing a new machine (module)

Context of the job
This position is within the Research department of ASML. At research, we aim to identify and fill the technological gaps within ASML, extending roadmaps of the lithography and metrology market. We work in small, diverse, and multidisciplinary teams of approximately 5 to 15 persons and deliver a proof of concepts or fundamental understanding that can be valorized and transferred within the company. We intensively work together with external research institutes and universities. ASML Research offers an informal innovative work atmosphere, opportunities for personal development, and a promising position to move to other ASML departments in the long run.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
