Electrons are practically everywhere and make up most of our physical world. We use electrons to make tiny details on silicon wafers visible and measurable as they are processed for integrated circuits or chips production. This is very important for high quality and yield of the production process.
These Multi electron-Beam Inspection tools are part of ASML’s product development portfolio, helping customers to get most out of their production. ASML has an Electron Optical competence center in Delft, where we combine Research with Development & Engineering to deliver modules and system designs for the Multi e-Beam Inspection products.
Role and responsibilities
Our System Integration team is responsible for the integration, verification and release of systems in configurations such that these can be manufactured and installed within the required quality and can also be maintained in the field. We support Business Line, Manufacturing and Customer Services to achieve customer satisfaction.
In the position of System Integration and Test Engineer you will be part of the team that defines the integration strategy, coordinates qualification and gives an advise of the quality and risks still left after the integration. The products have of a wide variety of hardware, software and other deliveries combined into one system that performs at a the specified level.
As System Integration and Test Engineer, you coordinate the integration and verification of multiple subsystems. You define the optimal strategy to achieve this goal and take part in execution of the integration steps. You take the lead in the definition of the problem statement and are a sparring partner during the analysis and solution phase of the found system issues. In this role you also report and advise toward program management on system integration progress, amount of risk mitigated and the system’s performance and reliability capabilities.

Education and experience
- Technical education on MSc. Level in direction of Physics, Optics , Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a product/project development environment.
- Experience in product / project integration activities in a technical and multidisciplinary environment
Nice to have:
- Educational specialization in Charged Particle Optics.
- Experience with (Electron) Optics systems
- Experience with ultra-high vacuum, particle contamination and high voltage.
