Introduction to the job

ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of semiconductor-chip-making equipment. A majority of the world’s microchips receive their critical lithographic patterning in machines made by ASML. In addition ASML produces metrology tools and advanced applications to analyze and optimize the performance of the customer production process.

At Business Line Applications, we develop YieldStar, which is a metrology tool for advanced lithography control. Our goal is to improve the accuracy of performance metrics (such as overlay, focus, critical dimension) as measured on the end product of a fab process (wafers with chip structures).

Role and responsibilities

Your role

We are hiring a SW Off-Tool Metrology Platform Architect to contribute to the transition of the current metrology SW Applications towards a New Platform. . The New Platform as a whole consists of two parts. The first is deployed and released on the YieldStar machine and we call it On-Tool Platform. This vacancy is aimed at (machine learning) recipe creation deployed independently of the YieldStar machine, named Off-Tool Platform.

The new Off-Tool Metrology Platform enables big data collection and storage of metrology data, complex data processing using cutting-edge machine learning technologies, and provides data analytics and visualization tools. It is developed on top of the ASML Digital Platform - a cloud(-alike) deployment platform internally built and provided inside ASML.

You will be acting part of a multi-disciplinary group consisting of Application, MLOps, DataOps, DevOps, and UX professionals working in a SAFe (Agile) environment.

You will interact with System Engineers, Product and Platform Architects to hand-shake on our new SW Off-Tool Platform requirements, architectural guidelines and roadmap.

You will work together with line management to define and introduce new way of working, SW development processes and tooling to support transition to the new SW Off-Tool Platform.
