The IT organization of ASML supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. Part of the IT organization is the Core IT services department providing all, mission-critical, IT support services. This not only includes generic IT infrastructure services like laptops and desktops, telecom services, network and datacenters but also the IT applications which are used within ASML.
Job Mission
As Solution Architect you are part of the Customer Team in the Infra Agile Release Train and work closely with stakeholders like: ASML Business representatives, Epic Owners, (Chief) Product Owners, Architects and Lead Engineers.
In this role you are the eyes-and-the-ears towards our customers (Business Representatives & Epic Owners) and collaborate with all the stakeholders to understand the customer needs to translate this into a solution design.
You are responsible for the solution design while respecting the architectural runway, (non)functional requirements and ensure that the solution is serviceable (easy to request, easy to consume, secure and always on).

Deliverables:
- Consultancy - Provide design-wise guidance on our customer needs;
- Requirement engineering - Translate customer needs into clear requirements;
- Solution design - This outlines the technical architecture of the proposed solution and includes details on how the solution will meet the business requirements and technical and operational constraints.
Solution Architects work closely with stakeholders including:
- Customers – to understand the requirements and provide consultancy;
- Architects – to contribute to architectural runway and enablers;
- (Chief) Product Owners – to contribute to the product vision and roadmap;
- Operations – to understand the serviceability impact.
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the area of computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Scrum, SAFe or other Agile related certificates;
- TOGAF, Archimate;
- ITIL;
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Microsoft, VMWare VCDX.
Experience
- 5+ years experience in designing, deploying and managing compute and infrastructure technologies in a global enterprise;
- Comfortable to contribute in discussions within other expertise realms (e.g. compute, storage, database and connectivity);
- Experienced in translating business requirements to architectural solutions;
- You understand the needs of Operations.
