The sector Sourcing & Supply Chain (S&SC) is an industry-leading organization, responsible for ensuring material availability to ASML's factories and customers in an efficient and cost-effective way. Because 90% of all components in an ASML machine come from externally sourced specialist manufacturers, our supply chain activities are even more critical to our operation than you would normally expect.

Role and responsibilities

The Project, Program & portfolio management department plays a crucial role as the recognized front door for strategy and change for the S&SC sector in ASML. Portfolio Management specifically ensures that S&SC can leverage its project selection and execution success, optimizing business value while achieving the strategic objectives. It is our way to bridge the gap between strategy and implementation."
The S&SC Portfolio Manager is responsible for the business improvement project portfolio delivery. He/she coordinates the effective and efficient operation of the portfolio management practices and provides support to the main projects and the portfolio board / (senior) management. This includes the framing and preparing of information for solid decision making required to realize the project and portfolio plan.

Portfolio delivery:

  • Preparedecisions and the regular portfolio meetings
  • Providesingle version of truth for project portfolio information, in order tohave transparency of performance needed by management to monitor progressversus the improvement roadmap
  • Managethe project and portfolio triple constraints (timing, resources and scope)
  • Developand/or adopt ways to measure the impact of the improvements
  • Drivesresources mgmt. of business FTE involved in the projects (claim & allocation)
  • Undertakeinvestment appraisals and reports accordingly to the project and/orportfolio board
  • DrivesIT for solid & timely reporting on actual spend per project
  • Helpstructuring the projects and programs in the portfolio and keep anoverview of the progress of planned actions.
  • Ensurethat dependencies are effectively managed and where required escalateissues to the portfolio board for resolutions

Maintain & improve the standards:

  • Managethe project portfolio via the Management of Portfolios (MoP) standards
  • Identifyand lead improvements to the portfolio management practices
  • Ensurethe project portfolio implements the standards and improvements

Education and experience

  • + 8 years of work experience in project management or portfolio management
  • Relevant work experience within Supply Chain Management
