Introduction to the job

DE PI EUV System Industrialization Department has the responsibility to enable ASML’s product road map particularly for Availability, Cycle Time and Cost aspects of ASML’s lithography machines such that it reaches to best industrialized state, as robust as possible and as quick as possible.
This responsibility involves cooperation of many teams for highly complex and cross sector topics such as Manufacturing and Service Sequences, MTTR, DDFs, AVAS and AVM. In the meantime we strongly believe that this complexity is best to be handled with efficient processes, tools and reports that we call means and methods.
This role might be for you, if you enjoy working at system level, being creative and enabling system industrialization teams with most efficient/effective means and methods in a very complex technical and sectoral environment

Role and responsibilities

Role of System Industrialization Means and Methods Architect is enabling System Industrialization Road map by providing most efficient/effective means and methods architecture based on needs of PGP projects.

  • Create and own overarching system industrialization means and methods architecture for processes, tools and reports (including underlying KPIs)
  • Guide, lead, organize, drive and work together with several technical competence (TC) architects and subject matter experts to make sure means and methods architecture covers all necessities of system industrialization TCs.
  • Understand and elicitate needs of system industrialization PGP projects and convert their needs to requirements via SEG like documentation (e.g. SPS, SDS, EPS etc.)
  • Enable and guide solution providers with strongly defined system level requirements
  • Join/contribute means and methods verification/validation testing as customer
  • Identify end to end value streams (e.g. service action readiness) at L5 level and plot all department means and methods on value streams.
  • Identify means and methods gaps, end state of them and define/own an enabling road map.
  • Work in close cooperation with Lead System Industrialization (SI) architect to enable SI road map via matching Means and Methods road map.
  • Support system industrialization department for annual target setting and execution by identifying most important means and methods topics and their work breakdown.
  • Report achievements, results and status of activities to Means and Methods Group Lead

Education and experience

Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or comparable with experience or background in integration of complex systems/equipment.

  • Knowledge on system level industrialization aspects such as availability, cycle time diagnostics, manufacturing/service sequences and cost (as generalist).
  • Very strong skill and experience regarding stakeholder management
  • Very strong communicator on different levels.
  • Taking Technical Leadership to drive all stakeholder (including solution providers) towards success
  • Technical knowledge of EUV systems (knowing DUV is a plus)
  • We are looking for a Sr professional with at least 10 years of same or similar experience
    Being involved in business change management of complex organizations is a plus

The EUV DE (Development & Engineering) SID (System Industrialization Department) department is responsible for driving the design and actual performance of Cycle Time and Mean-Time-to-Repair to meet customer expectations at reduced manufacturing, service and upgrade cost for ASML. We own the design and integration of system sequences to enable early and shared learning for manufacturing, service and upgrade of EUV systems.

The EUV DE System Industrialization Means and Methods group within the department is responsible for responsible for developing the "Process Design & Engineering" and "Verification & Validation" of Engineering business capabilities as defined in the ASML House of Capabilities, setting up the x-sector Industrialization Process Framework, and will be owning the business process architecture to support improvement projects like BoM/BoP, WI2.0 and GEAR.
