We are the Applications team, a key business line within ASML, one of the world market leaders in scanning lithography technology. We create full-stack software products that run in the most modern semiconductor fabs, and we are pushing the boundary of what is possible. Role and responsibilities

Job Mission:

We are striving to make our products more user friendly and grow the UX maturity in ASML. To succeed in this, we need to understand our customers and users better. That is why we need your help. As a UX Designer, you have two main goals:

Discover user needs and pain points using a wide range of UX research methods, document and share actionable conclusions with software developers, UX designers and stakeholders. Deliver interaction and UI designs for semiconductor metrology applications.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for the understanding and adoption of customer’s and user’s needs in the development of software products for professionals in the semiconductor industry while following a user-centered design process. You will run user research studies and define workflows in close collaboration with other UX Designers, Product Architects, Software Developers, Customer Support and Development & Engineering (D&E). You will also create the interaction designs that are based on the UX research outcomes and technical requirements.

Education and experience


Master's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent.


  • 3+ years of relevant design experience.
  • Confident in selecting and using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative UX research methods.
  • Previous experience in conducting research in Europe, US and Asia.
  • Extensive experience with prototyping and design tools like Figma, Sketch, Axure.
  • Good data visualization skills and conceptual thinking. Please attach your portfolio that shows your work and the thought process behind it.
  • Experience with responsive design, enterprise software design, web technologies and working in an agile environment is a plus.
