Internships in the US
Imagine taking what you’re learning in college and applying it to help solve some of the most complex problems in the semiconductor industry. At ASML, you’ll do just that.
Our summer internships are designed to be more than a standard work experience. Over the course of three months, you’ll work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced teams and gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technology. You won’t just observe – you’ll contribute.
What you can expect
At ASML, we’ve designed our internship program around four key principles: growth, belonging, access and feedback.
- Grow your skills – Build both technical expertise and professional capabilities through real project work and learning opportunities.
- Feel supported – Work alongside mentors, managers and fellow interns who are invested in your success.
- Make an impact – Take ownership of meaningful work and contribute to real projects within your team.
- Learn through feedback – Receive regular input to help you develop and get the most out of your experience.
Throughout the summer, you’ll also have the opportunity to present your work, connect with peers across locations, and build a network that extends beyond your immediate team.

Beyond your project
Your internship experience goes beyond your day-to-day work.
We offer a range of program elements to help you broaden your perspective and build connections across ASML. These include:
- Networking opportunities and intern community events.
- Workshops focused on professional development and emerging AI productivity tools.
- Volunteer activities and local site initiatives.
Final poster presentations to showcase your work and achievements.
These experiences are designed to help you connect with others, explore different parts of the organization, and gain a deeper understanding of the industry.
Who we’re looking for
We welcome students from backgrounds such as mechanical development, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering and related fields.
Beyond your academic background, we look for something equally important: curiosity. We look for people who are eager to learn, ask questions and explore new ideas. At ASML, every day brings new challenges, and the ability to engage, adapt and grow is key.

- San Diego and San Jose, California
- Wilton, Connecticut

Co-op programs
The ASML Co-op Program gives students the opportunity to work for ASML during the academic semester or quarter. A co-op is a partnership between higher-education institutions and employers to provide real work experience to full-time students.
The ASML Co-op Program is flexible: you could start as a summer intern and move into the co-op program in the fall, or you could co-op during the spring and become a summer intern. As you work with us, we work with you.

Caymon Winnick, Arizona State University
“I have had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the semiconductor industry and gain insight into how the most complex machine on earth operates while also developing my soft skills in stakeholder and time management.”

Hanyang Chen, Rice University
“From attending the ASML Technology Conference to learning in tech talks to simply sitting in the office and chatting with colleagues, I feel my perspective has grown every day and I will cherish the time spent here.”

Marlena Berger, University of Rochester
“I learned how to work with people at all different levels of the production process – technicians, production engineers and D&E and the incredible level of precision needed to make the whole system come together.”

Nakshatra Ajit Kadethankar, Purdue University
“I developed a strong understanding of production planning processes, supply chain risk management and manufacturing operations. I learned to ask better questions, understand different perspectives and take ownership of projects from problem definition through implementation.”
