Japan’s history of semiconductors goes back to the beginnings of the industry in the 1950s. Today, the country boasts more than 30 companies with fabs.

ASML first started working in Japan in 1992. Now, we have opened multiple offices across its sprawling metropolises and beautiful countryside to provide a rapid response to our customers.

Customer support

Our core focus in Japan is customer support. Our engineers enjoy an international environment and work closely with a range of high-tech companies, including Kioxia (formerly Toshiba Memory), Sony and Micron. Our Japan headquarters are in Tokyo, but we also have offices in Hiroshima, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Tsuruoka Yokkaichi and Kitakami.
