Then the IBE Electrical Design Engineer role is for you. Join us in a multinational environment with challenging technical problems, and help extend the PAS5500 and XT product lifecycle.
Role and responsibilities
- Solve End of Life and design issues on electrical products. Since part of the actual design is outsourced, your tasks include to define requirements, review detailed designs, integrate and qualify the solutions to ensure it fits to the (sub-)system level.
- Manage the Development Projects by considering the cost, planning, and coworking with Internal/External stakeholders. On top of performing the redesign yourself, you might also lead the farmout partners in the development activities.
- Support the Factory, Customer Support, and Supplier for electrical related issues, including root cause analysis, finding quick fixes, and performing design change as structural solution.
- Clarify, update, and complete available Technical Product Documentation (TPD) via Engineering Change to accomplish TPD acceptance by supplier (TAS), and communicate the impact to the related stakeholders.
- Ensure Electrical development & quality within multidisciplinary teams: responsible for the electronic content on Architectural till component level ( PCBA’s, Cables, Sensors, Racks ,Cabinets, electronic components)
Education and experience
Bachelor/ Master degree in Engineering with >5 years of working experience in technical areas and project management experience
- Experienced in PCBA, rack, and cabinet design, including electro-mechanical engineering & integration, within multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
- Competent in developing equipment such as measurement tools, positioning systems, multi-disciplinary assemblies, and handling systems, while ensuring compliance with international standards and human/machine safety.
- Knowledgeable in digital and analog mixed-signal circuit design, covering integration, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic systems.
- Being a generalist in your field of expertise, willing to dive into unknown problems and ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in the usage of CAD tools (Autocad, Unigraphics (Siemens NX), DxDesigner/xDX Designer and Team-center) & SAP/Oracle is a preferred.
- Experience in Quality & Efficiency improvement projects in both the production - and development environment are an advantage.
- Experience in Servo tuning is a plus.

Business Line DUV IBE is responsible for the entire installed base of PAS5500 steppers and scanners as well as the life-extension for XT system. Within BL DUV IBE, Design & Engineering deliver the structural solution to supports both systems.
To extend the support of the PAS5500 to 2035 and possibly longer, BL DUV IBE does strongly need a sustainability of the PAS5500 electronics. The position we are looking for is an electrical engineer to coordinate the redesigns and perform the integration into PAS5500 installed base and solve field/factory escalations efficiently as well as the life-extension for XT system.
