Job Mission

Our Program Management Office (PMO) optimizes business value in project, program, and portfolio management execution to strengthen ASML’s competitive position. Our mission is to drive world-class project, program and portfolio management across ASML’s Business Lines and Research & Development. In this way PMO is the competence owner of state-of-the-art project methodologies.
 

As a (Senior) PMO’er you are positioned as an independent team member of a business team that is responsible for the development or maintenance & improvement of our state-of-the-art lithography machines. As a (Senior) PMO Officer you are responsible for;

  • Challenging the triple constraint (scope, timing, budget) as a recognized business partner, to optimize business value;

  • Driving effective decision making on all levels as a trusted ‘advisor’ of the Product Development Manager and his cross sectoral Product Team;

  • Implementing and improving project (program) standards and processes, e.g. related to project planning, financial management, product generation process, reporting, change control, risk management and quality. You are the one preparing and facilitating progress reviews and key decision meetings and actively follow-up on agreements made during these meetings;

  • Providing guidance during the financial forecasting (budget) process and proactively assisting regular financial management and reporting;

  • Pro-actively connecting, enabling and challenging all stakeholders. Next to that, you will inform and guide other PMO Project Officers about the status and progress of the Product and what they should focus on;

  • Driving completeness of all inputs from deciders in the product generation process;

  • Growing people and the team competences of PMO and ASML’s Project Management community, e.g. by driving, participating, leading & implementing cross-PMO improvement projects;


 

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Project Management, Engineering or other relevant fields

  • least 5 years of working experience as PM(O) expert or practical experience as a project manager in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment

  • Experience with implementation of change and improvement projects

  • Experience with MS Project Online or a similar tool

  • Experience in an Agile/SAFe environment is preferred

  • Experience in leading a team and individual people is a preference

  • Excellent communicator, being able to influence without hierarchical power, and creative in managing a large and diverse range of stakeholders

  • Maintains personal effectiveness and people focus under pressure, high speed of change and uncertainty

  • Ability to guide, coach and advise at all organizational levels to effect sustainable change and improving the project and process maturity level of the organization

  • Team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently 

  • Takes ownership, gets things done and pro-actively drives for improvement

Context of the position

This role is positioned within ASML's Program Management Office (PMO). Here we optimize business value in project, program and portfolio execution to strengthen ASML’s competitive position. We enable critical practicalities, logistics and administration are handled efficiently. By driving establishing execution according to expected standards and Way of Working. We are the ones actively identifying risks and ensure implementation of solutions that minimize impact on triple constraints.

Next to that, we continue to develop the PMO competence to a higher level by structurally tracking competency level within Programs and organize competency development of the ASML PM(O) Community. We also improve standards, tooling and processes used by PM(O) and connect the ASML PM(O) Community to faster effective collaboration.

We work with 160 colleagues and have organized ourselves in 4 Business Lines per Product and 1 Group for our Process & Tooling activities.

Other information

This is a full-time position (40 hours). Working part-time is negotiable as long as you're available for at least 32 hours.
