Introduction

  • The Regional CS EHS Department is part of the Customer Support worldwide EHS organization.
  • Within CS, the regional EHS team is responsible for the deployment of the EHS management system and the EHS requirements to the regional CS organization and for securing the right follow-up. To enable this, the regional CS EHS team consists of a team of safety specialists and a specific team to support occupational health (nurses).

Position in the Organization

  • Reports to the Head of CS Samsung with a dotted line to the Head of CS EHS WW.
  • Based in Hwaseong Office, Korea.

Job Mission

  • Drives the Korea EHS Program and supports the senior staff in Korea to secure a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees working in offices and those working on ASML systems in the customer fabs in Korea.

Job Description

  • Drive and manage all EHS activities/EHS Roadmap for Korea with a major emphasis on Customer Support organizations.
  • Lead the regional EHS team, providing direction and support to the EHS team Group Leaders.
  • Provide EHS guidance and communication, management advice, training, and coaching for Korea and CS management and senior staff.
  • Take Safety Culture and Awareness initiatives to drive the safety culture to the next level.
  • Own the CS Safety dashboard/KPIs, and secure safety incident reporting and follow-up (including management review).
  • Manage, coach, and develop the EHS community (specialists/safety engineers/health staff) in Korea.
  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work-related safety and health risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
  • Monitor and control the EHS/Safety Management System (ASML framework).
  • Work with field operations to address all product safety-related issues, including working with D&E and the escalation process.
  • Drive the EHS/safety audits/inspection program to ensure internal and external compliance.
  • Secure alignment with worldwide CS EHS and be part of the CS EHS WW Leadership team.

Educational Level

  • BS/MS Degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
  • BS/MS degree in Safety Management or comparable, preferably Certified Safety Professional.

Experience

  • Over 10 years of working experience as an EHS Manager in the high-tech industry or comparable.
  • Demonstrable experience with managing teams.
  • Demonstrable experience with maturing safety culture in complex/high-tech/multi-site organizations.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
