Within ASML, the WLT Satellite D&E team works closely with counterparts located in ASML Wilton office in CT, US, to support the products including YS Sensor, DUV and EUV Top modules. This team is the representative of the Wilton D&E team in Asia to handle design changes, issue escalation and resolution in field and factory. This job requisition is specific for YS Sensor projects.

Job Mission:

We are seeking a physicist/optical engineer to support and develop optical/photonic sensor systems used within ASML’s YieldStar product.

As a Wilton YS Sensor Optical DE in TW, Asia, our responsibility is to offer timely support to any sensor escalation for Internal and External customers to prevent system long down and sensor swap.

On top of escalation, support NPI and IBL sensor design issue & integration in WLT, VDH & LF to offer thoroughly issue investigation and design solution.

Job Description:

The Wilton YS Sensor DE in TW is responsible for the following:

  • Resolve YS Sensor structural issues with clear problem definition, containment, & timely structural solutions implementation.

  • Conduct RCA for defect sensors/parts and present detailed findings within 1~2 weeks of receiving the part.

  • Deliver the functional specification (EPS/design spec), design proposal (EDS), test specification (TPS) and qualification document (TAR) of AIR issue.

  • Communicate upward and downward on regular basis for driving issue resolution.

  • Understand proper escalation paths to appropriate stakeholders and acts accordingly.

  • Flexibility for international travel and facilitator night calls is required.

  • Deliver Sensor SW script with Matlab.

  • Able to do optic simulation with optical SW( Code V/Zemax/Fred)

  • ~10% travel flexibility is required.

Educational Level:

Master’s or PHD’s degree in Optic Engineering or Physics  relevant background.

Experience & Personal Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years work/design experience is preferred.

  • Strong technical leadership and influencing skills

  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Matlab coding capability is preferred.

  • Optic simulation software capability is preferred.

  • Team player and goal oriented.

  • Capable of presenting/managing project/issue with ‘Global/Helicopter’ overview.

  • Strong ownership and high flexibility for onsite support.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
