IT - Cloud Architect - Linkou

Introduction to the Job 

 ASML is seeking a Cloud Architect to join our Core IT Asia team in Linkou, Taiwan. This role plays a key part in shaping our cloud strategy and enabling data-driven transformation across the region. You will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure and services, primarily on Microsoft Azure, while also welcoming expertise in AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 

This is a permanent position reporting to the Infrastructure Manager of Core IT Asia, with close collaboration across Asia and the global Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) in the Netherlands.  

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture design for infrastructure, platforms, and data-centric applications. 
• Drive cloud initiatives including new deployments, migrations, and modernization efforts. 
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align cloud solutions with strategic goals. 
• Follow CCoE guidelines and implement best practices for security, availability, and compliance. 
• Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Operations teams to integrate cloud solutions into the development lifecycle. 
• Define cloud adoption strategies, application design patterns, and monitoring frameworks. 
• Provide guidance on cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, and scalability. 
• Document cloud architectures, workflows, and security measures for internal reference and compliance. 

Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 

Work Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture or cloud engineering roles. 
• At least 7 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert 
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect 
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

Technical Skills

• Expertise in cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP. 
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible. 
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, identity and access management (IAM), cloud security, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities. 
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively. 
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability.
