Our leaders enable our teams to deliver best in class learning & knowledge management solutions by managing our global stakeholders, enhancing the team capability and driving the vision of the ASML Research & Development (R&D) Academy. With the launch of our new roadmap, a new phase of further professionalization and improvement of our academy has started. We are looking for someone to strengthen our staff, who can build on the solid foundation that we have built in Knowledge Management, who can set up a roadmap and drive learning technology innovation and who will own and set up L&KM analytics.

ASML has doubled in size over the past years, and will continue to grow in the coming years. Onboarding our new colleagues and at the same time making sure that we continue to support our customers, is a challenge. Effective learning and knowledge management is foundational to execute our strategy and continue to grow, and the R&D Academy will support this. In collaboration with our exceptional R&D community (Development & Engineering, Technologies and our Business Lines) we build and strengthen Technical Leadership, we create and deliver sustainable, impactful and scalable Learning & Knowledge Management solutions and provide our R&D employees with learning solutions and knowledge in the moment of need.
This role is responsible for the new to be developed team responsible for Knowledge Management, Learning Innovation & Analytics in Veldhoven. In this role you support our global R&D community. You are a member of R&D Academy leadership team. You will work in close collaboration with the other leadership roles of the R&D Academy (Programs and L&KM Development).
Leading our team of professionals is a key element in this role. Guiding them in their personal and professional development, creating a roadmap together, developing their skills, further integrating Learning and Knowledge Management and making sure that their well-being is safeguarded is pivotal to the success in this role. Expectation is that this team will also grow in the future with more roles & expertise in the area of learning technology and analytics.
You will be the key person to create a learning technology roadmap and work with all relevant partners to get more learning technology incorporated in our R&D Academy offering. Furthermore, you will drive the set up and implementation of L&KM analytics within the R&D Academy. Both needed to further improve and professionalize our L&KM offering.
The ASML Academy consists of 4 business owned and 4 competences based central academies. As an R&D Academy, we are a business owned academy, reporting into our biggest sector D&E. At the same time, we exist in the structure of other Academies and Center of Expertise. Part of this job, is to actively engage and align with topics, initiatives, best practices, and Ways of Working (WoW) set by our or other Academies and the ASML Learning & Knowledge Management Center of Expertise.
Role and responsibilities
The mission of this team is to provide our R&D employees with learning & knowledge in the moment of need.
As Group Leader Knowledge Management, Learning Innovation & Analytics, you manage the activities of your team in line with the vision and strategy of our department and business. The job requires balancing between people management, stakeholder management, content and innovation.
You are responsible for:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of your team for the Veldhoven R&D Academy
- Translate the R&D Academy Roadmap into an annual operational plan for your team.
- Understands our business priorities and together with your team, liaise with business leaders and stakeholders
- Embed the Knowledge Management team in our R&D Academy line organization and together with the team develop the KM roadmap
- Accountable for improvements in our Knowledge Management operating model and support towards our business (e.g. D&E Handbook)
- Set up a vision, strategy and roadmap for embedding Learning Technology into our learning offering and way of working.
- Actively reach out & collaborate with our partners in other academies, other D&E departments (e.g. Innovation Center) and other sectors (e.g. IT) to bring our innovation plans alive.
- Create a roadmap & implement global available L&KM analytics for R&D in collaboration with the L&KM Center of Expertise and the D&E Business Information & Analytics team
- Drive and improve our measurement & evaluation process (ROI). Set standards, improve capabilities for our L&KM professionals, college leads and solution owners.
- Manage the annual budget process and track our KPIs for the R&D Academy, together with the R&D Academy Lead
- Active part of the global ASML Learning & Knowledge Management community
Education and experience
- Academic level of thinking with extended relevant work experience;
- Profound conceptual and analytical skills, understanding of ASML development & engineering and preferably over 5 years of ASML business experience;
- Proven working experience in (learning) technology innovation environment
- At least 8 years of people management and leadership experience

Other information
R&D consists of our Development & Engineering organization (D&E), our Business Lines (Apps, DUV, NXE, EXE and MPS) and Technologies (Research & System Engineering). As an R&D Academy, we report into the Performance & Integration Cluster within D&E. We have a solid reporting line in the D&E P&I QBP cluster and a dotted line to the Dean of the ASML Academies. The R&D Academy is part of a network of 8 academies across ASML. We support approximately 17.000 colleagues with our services. The holder of this position reports to the Department manager of the R&D Academy and sits in the leadership team of the R&D Academy.
