Job Mission

Quality Supplier Manager (QSM) is responsible for the Quality Management and Operational performance of a selected number of key suppliers, which are managed by SAT (Supplier Account Team). Main focus areas are driving suppliers to a zero defects mindset, enable accelerated learning, perform (business) process improvements, optimization and develop the supply chain to a high maturity level. In addition to being the quality interface between supplier and ASML, the QSM works with suppliers and ASML stakeholders on finding structural solutions to material quality non conformities, driving business process improvements and managing the feedback loop with ASML stakeholders. The main responsibilities of the QSM in SAT are the following:

Job Description

  • Act as the quality interface between ASML and suppliers, including n-tier suppliers.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes and product control mechanisms.
  • Identify quality gaps, define Improvement Plans (IPs), and ensure timely execution.
  • Ensure zero-repeat issues through high-quality and timely Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 8D problem-solving.
  • Prioritize and manage Customer Quality Notifications (CQNs) and Dead On Arrivals (DOAS).
  • Define and maintain the supplier quality roadmap in alignment with ASML’s strategic goals.
  • Facilitate N-tier change management, ensuring quality requirements are validated and implemented.
  • Initiate and lead supplier improvement projects (e.g., SPC, Lean, FMEA, Operational Excellence).
  • Support Supplier Profile capability assessments and audits, ensuring alignment with ASML expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Procurement, Logistics, Engineering) to resolve escalations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for the Quality (Q) dimension in the GQLTCS supplier performance framework. Responsible for ensuring suppliers meet ASML’s quality standards and contribute to long-term strategic goals.

Education

Bachelor or Masters degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.

Experience

  • 7 – 12 years relevant work experience in a similar role
  • 5–15 years of relevant experience in supplier quality management, preferably in high-tech or semiconductor industries.
  • Proven experience in supply chain improvement projects, quality systems, and supplier development.
  • Familiarity with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
