ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. We are seeking a program manager to lead a project team to manage key deliverables for the Wilton Factory.

The program manager is going to be responsible for owning the key deliverables for Wilton Factory. The candidate will be assessing how we deliver new products and what steps are needed. The candidate will be the main representation for Wilton Factory in Stakeholder meetings and presenting to leadership and tracking key deliverables and milestones.

Role and responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing readiness plans to introduce new products into production. This should include timelines, key milestones for prototype readiness, as well as ramp to pilot and volume.

  • Identify and mitigate risks to program introduction

  • Develop the facility expansion plans, if needed, to handle new projects

  • Communicate clear plans to management

  • Manage the cross functional team

  • Summarize budgetary needs for capital equipment and headcount.

  • Clear reporting and escalation of issues/ barriers to senior management

  • Contribute to the strategic long term planning and manufacturing roadmap of ASML.

  • Establish and drive outsourcing projects.  This includes obtaining funding, developing tooling plans, working with development engineering to upgrade documentation, and managing qualification plans.

Education and experience

  • Bachelors degree In a technical field and 5+years of experience working in a technical capacity in an engineering or manufacturing environment leading projects;

  • Masters Degree in a technical field and 4+ years of experience in a technical capacity leading projects

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Project Management skills and experience

Skills

  • Experience in new product introduction to a high volume manufacturing environment

  • Familiar with lean / six-sigma manufacturing methodologies

  • Strong analytical skills and highly accurate

  • Highly motivated, takes initiative

  • Works well in a dynamic environment

Program manager Responsibilities

Project Planning / Roadmap

Oversees the creation and approval of project plans, ensuring that all activities and key milestones are identified, appropriately organized to deliver program and project objectives, comply with the organization's project and program management framework, and comply with the organization's wider governance structure and processes.

Project scope definition

Defines the scope within triple constraint by translating requirements into deliverables and breaking down the work. Align changes in scope after the creation of the Product Initiation Document (PID) with the revelant stakeholders to avoid miscommunications on project scope. Specifies, negotiates, and agrees on required resources and project deliverables.

Business Needs / Improvements

Plans and coordinates the identification, elicitation of requirements; conducts analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment; foresees business trends, manages requirements throughout the life of the project; and coordinates the verification of the end deliverable. Identifies opportunities for improvement; proposes/makes improvements to work processes.

Generally done at the project level.

Stakeholder Management and Advising

Manages a complex organizational environment with tactical stakeholders, needs to acquire management buy-in (at least JG 13/14 level).

Develops and implements stakeholder engagement plans for projects to identify relevant stakeholders, to develop positive stakeholder relationships, and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice.

Project Risk and Issue Management

Manages identification of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, following the agreed risk management approach, escalating issues where appropriate. Ensures adequate risk assessment of (high) cross-sector risks within the full scope of the roadmap and is able to interpret the results of the risk assessment. Where risks or issues threaten the delivery of the project, develops and agrees recovery plans or, if relevant, escalate to a sponsor/project board who can decide how to proceed with the project.

Project Review / Reporting

Manages the project review process; creates and maintains the project status for review and reporting based on agreed standards to provide stakeholders with accurate and relevant information and key recommendations at agreed review points to enable them to evaluate progress and agree on change.

Project Benefit Realization

At the end of a large project evaluate deliverables and performance against initial goals and triple constraints, extract lessons learned, and assess if there is a need for additional actions to maximize adoption of project deliverables.

Project Team Management (optional, does not apply to ADM)

Leads a medium to large project team (typically 25-100 fte); defines the project vision and communicates the outcomes needed along with guidance to achieve outcome, manages resources across projects/programs; negotiates flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed; protects the team from getting overloaded; and builds the capability of the team through training, coaching and mentoring.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
