Introduction

Are you challenged by helping us to perform internal audits at ASML to make sure company risks are controlled adequately? Are you interested in learning how various (non-financial) business processes can be further optimized? Then supporting the Internal Audit (IA) department can be a great internship for you.

The IA department is responsible for more than 25 assignments per year including process audits, IT (security) audits and location audits abroad. These audits involve identifying key risk areas and assessing whether (and how effective) risks are controlled, interviewing managers and employees in various areas of the business and reporting on conclusions to senior management within ASML. Your assignment

During this (non-thesis) internship assignment you will be a team member on the audit assignments we work on.
 

You will be providing support during the fieldwork and reporting stage, including:

  • Assisting in interviews with auditees;

  • Executing audit procedures like examining process documentation;

  • Performing test procedures, data analyses, et cetera;

  • Assisting in drafting the report and discussing preliminary observations with the lead auditor and audit manager.


This is an apprentice internship for at least 4 days a week (of which 3 days on-site) and a duration of minimum 5 months. The preferred start date is September 1,  2025.
 

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

  • Are a bachelor (university) or a (pre-)master student with an educational background in Auditing / Business Administration / Business Economics / Industrial Engineering & Management / IT or related studies;

  • Are looking for gaining work experience (no study assignment);

  • Have a critical mindset and pro-active attitude;

  • Have strong social skills and are a team player;

  • Have good English formal and informal communication skills, both in speech and in writing.
     

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
