Introduction to the job

As a Business controller - Corporate real estate, you play a key role in shaping the future of ASML’s global infrastructure. You’ll help guide strategic investment decisions and ensure that our real estate portfolio supports the company’s rapid growth and innovation. Your insights will directly influence how, when, and where ASML invests in its facilities—enabling the technology behind the world’s most advanced chipmaking machines.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Business controller - Corporate real estate, you’ll be part of a global team that supports and challenges decision-making across ASML’s real estate portfolio. You’ll work closely with project managers, controllers, and business partners to ensure financial transparency and process excellence, with a focus on project and portfolio control.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading financial reporting for the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) portfolio and presenting insights to senior leadership.

  • Acting as a financial partner to CRE project managers, ensuring accurate forecasts and risk assessments.

  • Safeguarding business cases by challenging assumptions and promoting process adherence.

  • Collaborating with global stakeholders across Europe, the US, and Asia to align on investment decisions.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tools, processes, and ways of working.

  • Sharing best practices across departments with support from the Capital Efficiency team.

Education and Experience

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.

  • At least 10 years of experience in business control, preferably in a corporate finance or capital investment environment.

  • Experience working in a complex, international organization or matrix structure.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

Skills

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.

To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

  • A proactive and hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

  • The ability to work independently while aligning with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, even without formal authority.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • A strategic mindset with attention to detail.

  • You’ll work closely with project teams in a dynamic, collaborative environment—experience in project control will help you navigate this effectively.
