Introduction to the job

At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing process, you will assist with the production of optical components and assemblies as well as glass, glass ceramic, and ceramic systems for our high-tech small batch, single part, and prototype production processes.

With strategic foresight and a data-driven approach, you will shape the present and future of the entire ASML Berlin site as part of the Business Planning Team. The team combines operational excellence with long-term site development and lays the foundation for informed decisions in all departments at the AMSL Berlin site. You will work closely with departments such as Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Real Estate to drive innovative solutions forward.

Your Tasks

As a Factory Planning Engineer, you will contribute to the further development of the ASML Berlin site. Your work will optimize local processes and promote international cooperation. Your contribution will play a key role in shaping future growth and success. In detail, you will:

  • Further develop innovative spatial planning: Design and implement spatial planning processes for the ASML Berlin site.
  • Design efficient layouts: Work out creative solutions for spatial adjustments and complex layouts using CAD.
  • Further develop best practices: Develop your own methods, challenge them with proven approaches from other ASML sites, thus continuously improving planning processes.
  • Create decision templates: Prepare recommendations and present them to management.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: Promote knowledge transfer with a focus on spatial and factory planning across departments and sites.

Your Qualifications

  • You have successfully completed a degree in engineering – ideally, with specialization in production, factory planning, or related fields.
  • You have several years of experience in an equivalent role within a manufacturing company, and have already successfully supported complex planning projects.
  • You routinely work with CAD systems and use them as a central tool to develop well-thought-out and efficient layouts.
  • You have sound knowledge of factory planning and lean management, and specifically use this knowledge to make processes leaner and more sustainable.
  • You have experience in managing projects and dealing with various stakeholders.
  • You understand how to merge different perspectives and work out joint solutions.
  • You have a good command of German and English both in everyday communication and when presenting technical content.
  • You are well-versed in MS Office, especially Excel, and ideally have experience with specialist planning tools.

Everything preferred, nothing mandatory! Do you not meet all the requirements? That is not a hindrance as we focus on further development. Convince us with a new approach.

Your Skills

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact successfully in a global environment.
  • You are highly self-motivated, innovative, and able to work independently to successfully complete complex tasks.
  • You are confident and self-assured with clear and easy-to-understand communication of your knowledge.
  • You are highly flexible and have a structured and organized approach to your work.
