Introduction to the job
The Analysis group is part of ASMLs Design & Engineering (D&E) sector. It provides analysis support to the development of all of ASMLs products. The vision of the group is that our competences will be used to drive the development. Your main customers will be the (lead) engineers and product architects within all of ASMLs development projects.
ASML’s vision of FEM analysis is prompted by the ever shortening lifecycles of technologies. By combining FEM analysis and creative thinking, ASML is approaching innovation from a new and exciting direction, one that promises fresh thinking on how to reach next-generation technologies. Your help is sought to help ASML implement the next step towards Simulation Driven Design.
You will provide the best approximation of the performance of components and modules long before they are actually manufactured. Thereby driving their development.
Role and responsibilities
- Perform (conceptual) FEM analysis using a variety of high level FEA software
- Execute analysis plans and clearly communicate the status and results
- Validation of models by experimental results
- Contribute to further development of ASMLs FEM competence
- Advice design engineer and product architects to improve mechanical designs.
- Contribute to the automation of used tools within the simulation competence
Education and experience
- Bachelor, Master’s or PhD in Mechanics, Aerospace or Physics
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience within the field of FEA, preferably with Ansys, Siemens or HyperWorks (while COMSOL experience is a pre)
- Knowledge/experience in one or more of the topics below is preferred
- AI used within the field of Simulation
- Automation/Scripting (Python)
- Theoretical and experimental knowledge/experience in the field of Simulation
Skills
- Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude.
- Creative thinking capability.
- Clear communication in English, both verbal and in writing
- Customer oriented
