Introduction to the job

As a Business Engineer, you will support management in resource reviews, analyze and optimize capacity, support management in resource reviews, improve operational performance, and drive process improvements across the organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to senior management, and act as a trusted advisor and analytical specialist

Role and responsibilities

1. Resource Management
    • Lead capacity planning, resource reviews, and cost management.
    • Design, implement, and maintain performance metrics and dashboards.
    • Analyze data to support management decisions and drive operational improvements.
2. Performance Management
    • Develop and visualize reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
    • Identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
    • Standardize and document business processes, ensuring data integrity.
3. Improvement Projects & Continuous Improvement
    • Lead or support business improvement initiatives and lean projects.
    • Facilitate workshops and implement process-driven changes.
    • Track and evaluate project benefits and outcomes.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels and departments.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations, facilitate meetings, and support change management.

  • Train and guide colleagues, sharing best practices and ensuring alignment.

Education and experience

    • Bachelor/Master degree in Technical Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
    • 7–8 years (or more) relevant experience in business engineering or advisory within operationally oriented organizations.
    • Experience with business analytics, process mining, modeling, optimization, and stakeholder/change management.
    • Proficient with production-control IT tools (Excel, SAP, PowerPoint, Visio); knowledge of Spotfire and/or Power BI is a plus.
    • Experience in functions combining data insights and process improvements (service, manufacturing, planning)

Other information

You will work across all levels of the factory, from management to operators, with cross-sectoral stakeholders. Tasks range from recurring operational support to ad hoc projects, combining in-depth analysis with people and change management.
