Introduction to the job

As Manager of the ASML Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) you will lead the team to effectively and efficiently detect and respond to security incidents to minimize damage and to ensure the security resilience of ASML globally.

Role and responsibilities

As part of the strategy to protect commercially sensitive, proprietary data, the personal data of the employees, clients and prospective clients, our RBA (Risk & Business Assurance) Security Team is seeking a leader for our global ASML Security Incident and Response Team (SIRT).

The manager SIRT is accountable for SIRT service delivery & governance and oversees SIRT end-to-end process execution. You are in charge of strategic direction and agenda for the team and will lead several teams executing Detect & Respond capabilities of the NIST CSF framework, consisting of Security Specialists in this domain.  

You will define and align SIRT capabilities’ objectives with business goals, adjust backlog and backlog prioritization and sprint priorities based on emerging trends and business goals. You will manage continuous improvement & build activities in line with capacity management and will be in charge of overall budget and resource allocation.

You will play a key role in shaping ASML’s future in the Security Risk Management domain and focus areas related to (Cyber) Security Defense Operations, having a clear vision and driving towards service and assurance development in this domain. You ensure that services are aligned to deliver maximum value to ASML, working in close collaboration with other Security Functions in the Risk & Business Assurance team as well as the Security teams in ASML’s Sectors and Business Lines. Other responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for talent management.

  • Act as final decision maker (driven by Team Leads).

  • Act as final decision maker (driven by Capability Owners).

  • Act as final decision maker (driven by Capability Owners).

  • In charge of stakeholder management (e.g., functional requirements for third-party tooling).

  • Manage service-level collaborations and relationships with other SOC, RBA, ASML teams.

  • Align on SIRT level for significant demands and support requests from specific SOC/RBA/ASML teams to build.

Education and experience

To be successful in this position, excellent leadership, influencing and interpersonal skills are a must. You are able to summarize and communicate security incidents to a non-technical audience. You have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with customers and suppliers. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are highly-motivated, with a strong work ethic and able to work effectively under minimal supervision.

  • 10 years+ professional experience with a focus on information systems security.

  • 5 years+ professional experience leading a team.

  • 5 years+ professional experience managing security services and delivery

  • IT and IT Management knowledge is required.

  • Understanding of security technologies, techniques and best practices.

  • Experience working with Crisis management situations.

  • Knowledgeable in regulatory issues relating to security.

Skills

  • Able to develop, implement and monitor a long-term information security strategy.

  • Able to design and maintain a (privacy)compliant IT Security monitoring and incident response capability.

  • Ability to keep overview over complex stakeholder landscape.

  • Ability to think through complex problems, determine proper analytical processes and procedures, independently derive conclusions and present results to management.
