Introduction

FC-223 is responsible of developing SW applications in wafer alignment domain at ASML. We create tools that help our customers to optimize, monitor and diagnose wafer alignment process within Twinscan.

Your assignment

We are looking for a hands-on intern to support our software development team in maintaining and evolving our Java-based testing framework. You will help ensure our feature and integration (IT) tests remain robust and scalable as the team prepares for an upcoming implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of the current test framework used for feature and integration testing.

  • Collaborate with developers and testers to implement test framework improvements 

  • Develop and review automated tests, ensuring alignment with evolving system functionality.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging test failures to improve stability and reliability.

  • Contribute to documentation of testing guidelines and best practices.

Your profile

To be a great match for this internship you:

  • Are a final-year (HBO) bachelor student or a master student in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

  • Have experience in Java and Maven and preferably knowledge in JavaScript/Typescript.

  • Have knowledge of testing frameworks such as Junit, Cucumber, Playwright or Cypress and basic knowledge in requirements engineering, test driven development or behavior driven development.

  • Are able to work independently and autonomously and are pro-active.

  • Have strong communication skills and are fluent in English (verbal and written)

This is a final-year (HBO) bachelor or a master apprentice internship for 6 to 12 months, for 2 to 5 days per week (at least 3 days onsite). The start date of this internship is September 2025.

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • You are located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate;

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
