Role and responsibilities
As a Strategic HR Business Partner, you will be supporting a significant global business unit and function – member of executive team. You will be a key member of the Sector Staff Management Team, working closely with senior executive management. Your role involves providing crucial business insights, ensuring alignment with broadly defined policy objectives, and focusing on mid-term and long-term people and organizational activities. You would lead a team of HR Business Partners and report to a member of the Global HR Leadership team of ASML. Key relationships are the Global HR leadership team, senior executives and managers within the business area or function you would support and the extended HR community.
You will align people strategy and business needs, leveraging a strategic global perspective, and comprehensive understanding of people, organization, diverse cultures, and demographics within. You are a consummate collaborator, trusted partner and advisor, driving solutions for highest value business needs.
Your responsibilities are including:
- People Strategy and Agenda
Proactively drive the People Strategy and Agenda for the business unit / function, fully aligned and driving execution to enable business strategy and priorities. Take both a near term as a mid-to-long-term view on what critical talent and organization capability needs required for success. Identifying and analyzing opportunities for innovation and optimization. Providing strategic advice to key decision-makers, significantly contributing to sector strategy formation. Implementing and communicating HR policies, ensuring adherence, monitoring compliance, and recommending the development of HR policies.
- HR Process, Projects & Programs
Lead, prioritize and drive core HR / people processes, and global/sector/country programs or policy deployment driven by HR or business, ensure focus on impact.
Acting as a project lead for HR projects with a change agenda on Cross-Sector or Global level, and ensuring alignment.
- Workforce Strategy and Talent Management
Identifying integrated workforce strategy needs and deploying creative workforce and talent focused solutions to support in delivering business strategy and plans, requiring integration of diverse, complex activities and close alignment with HR Expertise & People Operations.
Partnering with senior leaders to anticipate future workforce needs, and developing plans to attract, develop, and retain top talent. Utilizes talent analytics to forecast workforce trends and identify potential risks, ensuring the business area/function remains agile and competitive.
- Team, Leadership and Employee Development
Advising and coaching senior management teams on leadership, team dynamics and talent development. Evaluating current capabilities, identifying gaps, and prioritizing development activities at sector level. Coaching leaders on the right leadership behaviors improves performance and fulfill personal potential.
- Organization Design & Change Management
Co-design change/transformation programs and shaping & challenging organizational design based on business evolution.
Leading and delivering projects or a workstream within a change management initiative, ensuring integration with related projects.
- HR Data Analytics and Insights
Improving insight and quality decision making through data. Developing and validating multiple hypotheses, using a wide range of HR data to diagnose underlying causes of key business issues, and identifying forward-looking opportunities to enhance employee engagement and/or improve business performance.
- Internal Stakeholder Relationship Management
Build strong relationships. Acting as a trusted advisor and coach to executive leaders and management. Independently managing relationships with strategic internal stakeholders and function as a business partner, building elevated levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and mobilizing appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
- Employee Relations Case Management
Managing complex and/or contentious Employee Relations cases (individual and/or collective) in liaison with line managers and expert advice from ER (if applicable), Legal & Compliance team.
Education and experience
- Master or PhD level education.
- 10+ years of well-rounded HR experience and proven trusted partner to business leadership in a complex international company.
- High expertise in the field of Change Management, People Performance Management, Talent Management, Organization Effectiveness and HR operational expertise incl knowledge of Dutch labor legislation.

Other information
This role is a full-time position (40 hours). Working part-time could be possible in case you are available for at least 4 days a week.
