Within ASML, the role of our Strategy & ESG Office (SEO) is to advise, align and facilitate the Board of Management and Core Executive Team to define and execute ASML's strategy by providing strategic insights and value creation opportunities to help shape ASML's future. The focus of Products and Technology (PT) is to monitor and investigate emerging technologies and trends in ASML’s core and adjacent markets.
As Strategy Manager you will work on a wide variety of strategic topics and drive cross-company strategic initiatives. Topics could range from expansion and new market strategies to sustainability and from developing new business models or client propositions to industrial transformation and concrete business development. Reporting to the PT Group Lead, your stakeholders will include other PT team members, Research & Technology, Business Line Strategy Teams, Corporate Strategy and Corporate Marketing.
The broad set of priorities make the role of the Strategy Manager diverse and challenging making it a perfect landing spot for candidates with a background in strategy consultancy or business development that have both a technical and commercial background.
Role and responsibilities
Support development of ASML’s technology strategy and expansion rationale, within.
Lead and support strategic business related deep-dive projects on specific topics
Develop and synthesize insight on market evolution (e.g., technology trends, customer roadmaps, key players) to identify key pockets of value leverage and potential synergies for ASML
Stay abreast of the latest developments through regular attendance of relevant events and conferences
Stimulate and integrate activities across the wider ASML organization
Support ASML board of management with refinement of ASML corporate strategic expansion logic through continued scouting and investigation of potential value creation opportunities.
Education and experience
6+ years of working experience in semiconductor and/or high tech industry related role, with 2+ years business experience (e.g. consultancy, business development or corporate strategy) in semiconductor equipment or semiconductor foundry services
Master level qualification in technical field and/or business
Experience in a strategic role
Exposure to M&A, technology/IP acquisition and/or innovation portfolio management
Creating & presenting business plans and/or board-level strategic communication
