Introduction to the job

The role will be situated in the Agile Release Train below: Digital Workplace (DW)  Digital Workplace provides workplace services for ASML staff world-wide as well as to 3rd party Suppliers. This includes laptops, special purpose devices, mobile device management, worldwide virtual desktops and Collaboration & Productivity services such as Office 365, Webcast, Intranet & Search and various other collaboration tools

As VDI Engineer you're co-responsible for the operational health and operation of the delivered VDI services and for developing change of new VDI services.  You closely align with the “Business as Usual” support teams to make sure that the initiatives will be brought into service smoothly

 

Role and responsibilities

As a VDI engineer, you are a member of the IT End user services of ASML and working in an Agile-DevOps team of Engineers. The team is technically responsible for multiple initiatives and changes as well as the execution of different roadmap initiatives in the Virtual Workplace Area. As a VDI engineer you drive these based on your expertise and your enthusiasm to change

 

Education and experience
To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you’ll need experience working on High Tech products and with complex processes. As VDI engineer, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology or similar

  • 3 years relevant working experience as Citrix specialist

  • Technology platform knowledge of Citrix VDI and /or Azure VDI

  • Senior-level skills on Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix Xenserver,  Windows 10/11

  • Medior-level skills on Netscaler (Access gateway only) & on hyper -converged infrastructure (preferably Cisco UCS) 

  • Medior-level skills on MS Azure and Citrix cloud and VMWare vSphere

  • Medior-level skills on Redhat Linux (supported by an ASML Linux expert)
