Introduction to the Job
ASML’s Customer Support (CS) organization is responsible for the installation, qualification, repair, and maintenance of ASML systems at customer sites. The CS team also ensures effective knowledge transfer to customers. Local site CS branches carry out these tasks within their respective regions.
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Yieldstar Equipment field service Engineer to join our team. This role involves executing regular and irregular maintenance activities with a high degree of independence and minimal supervision.
Job Mission
As a Yieldstar Equipment field service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing ASML systems at customer sites. You will analyze and resolve technical issues, support process improvements, and contribute to knowledge sharing and team development.
Role and Responsibilities
- Problem Analysis and Resolution: Collect and analyze relevant information to diagnose issues. Execute solutions independently or escalate when necessary.
- Problem Handover and Documentation: Transfer unresolved issues to second-line support with complete documentation (e.g., service reports, technical logs).
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and standard service actions using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Procedure Execution: Prepare and execute maintenance procedures within scheduled machine time windows, ensuring all necessary parts and tools are available.
- Training and Customer Support: Train customers on equipment use and routine maintenance. Provide guidance and recommend procedural improvements.
- Process Optimization: Identify and report process gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge Sharing: Continuously develop technical knowledge and share best practices within the team.
- Coaching: Support and mentor less experienced engineers during their initial tasks.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in a relevant technical field such as Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ experience in a metrology or technical industry is required; semiconductor industry experience is preferred.
- Proficient in using computer applications including data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- In-depth knowledge of product functionality, including main modules and sub-modules.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
